Spectators: 7246 (Terracing: 5436, Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 144) Mencué's Santo Laurin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 8 minutes, Santo Laurin made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Luganofootball's Leo Chico tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 15 played minutes Luganofootball got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Joey. In the 17th minute Santo Laurin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Chico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Lucio Jaunzuria fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mencué's protests and gave Lucio Jaunzuria a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th minute of the match Florentino Cloyo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gilberto Sidro skillfully saved the ball. When Mencué's Arturo Teofilio in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Luganofootball's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silvio Rufio during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 30 minutes into the game, one of Luganofootball:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Venancio Leobardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Sidro having to interfere. Luganofootball's Leo Chico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Teofilio in the 37th minute of play. Venancio Leobardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Sidro having to interfere. Gilberto Sidro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Venancio Leobardo in the 44th minute of play. If Santo Laurin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Venancio Leobardo made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Santo Laurin fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Leo Chico, passed just outside the right post. In the 62nd minute, Mencué's Santo Laurin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leo Chico. Leo Chico yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Arturo Teofilio put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Leo Chico. The long shot by Celso Fernandes in the 71st minute really tested Leo Chico's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arturo Teofilio got free with Leo Chico in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santo Laurin in the 75th minute of play forced Luganofootball's goalkeeper Leo Chico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Mencué's Santo Laurin in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Luganofootball's goalie prevented a goal. In the 77th match minute, Luganofootball was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Joey to maneuver through the defense. Arturo Teofilio took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leo Chico. Leo Chico dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. A collision led to Mencué getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Lucio Jaunzuria hit a great ball. In the 88th minute Santo Laurin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Chico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mencué's Arturo Teofilio got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arturo Teofilio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Jeremias Otsoa came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Mencué fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeremias Otsoa couldn't finish the play.
