Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Santo Laurin got the match started through his kick off. Mencué's Gilberto Sidro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norberto Rutenio in the 3rd minute of play. 6 minutes into the game, Abelardo Marin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gilberto Sidro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ulises Cedro made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Arturo Teofilio sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeremias Otsoa got free with Ulises Cedro in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mencué's Rodolfo Malvin shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 21st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ulises Cedro but with some difficulty. In the 23rd minute, Arturo Teofilio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Flora's Ulises Cedro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Flora from getting a goal against them. After 28 minutes, Natalio Ostargi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mencué and the Flora players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th minute, Natalio Ostargi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Rutenio in the 29th minute of play forced Mencué's goalkeeper Gilberto Sidro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mencué's Gilberto Sidro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Marin in the 30th minute of play. Ulises Cedro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Laurin in the 32nd minute of play. Arturo Teofilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Arturo Teofilio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mencué's supporters rose to their feet, but Arturo Teofilio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulises Cedro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute, Mencué's Santo Laurin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Mencué's zone, Abelardo Marin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Sidro came out of the goal and Abelardo Marin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Santo Laurin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulises Cedro having to interfere. Arturo Teofilio came free with the goalkeeper in the 48th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ulises Cedro could save by the left post. Santo Laurin struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Ulises Cedro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mencué. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Norberto Rutenio made the kick off in the second half. If Arturo Teofilio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Ponciano hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 59 minutes into the match, Mencué's goalkeeper Gilberto Sidro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abelardo Marin. After 63 played minutes Flora got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Mendez. Norberto Rutenio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 76 minutes, Santo Laurin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mencué's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santo Laurin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abelardo Marin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Gilberto Sidro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arturo Teofilio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulises Cedro having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Santo Laurin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Mencué's Arturo Teofilio in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Flora's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Flora getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Rene Mikeldi hit a great ball. If Bernabe Frasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arturo Teofilio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulises Cedro having to interfere. Chants of Flora echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Mencué had held the ball for most of the match.
