Gabriel Costante might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leo Chico. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabriel Costante ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 35th minute Gabriel Costante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Chico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Venancio Leobardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teobaldo Rolado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Venancio Leobardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bonifacio Mendiko having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulino Cibran was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute Venancio Leobardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bonifacio Mendiko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Paulino Cibran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roman FC's Eulalio Macerio suffered a sore thigh after 68 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 68 minutes into the game, Leonel Reyes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Luganofootball's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Roman FC the free kick. In the 69th match minute, Luganofootball was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Reyes to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Costante got free with Leo Chico in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paulino Cibran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arturo Joey kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. If Gabriel Costante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bonifacio Mendiko came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Luganofootball's Venancio Leobardo. But to his dismay, Venancio Leobardo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 89th minute, Teobaldo Rolado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Venancio Leobardo notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Roman FC's Bonifacio Mendiko. Bonifacio Mendiko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Luganofootball fans cheered their team off the field, for while Roman FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
