When Cristo Nesto fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Matador Futbol Club's protests and gave Cristo Nesto a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Matador Futbol Club's Cristo Nesto got a free kick in the 6th minute. Domingos Txordon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Kinsen in the 7th minute of the match. In the 9th minute Lafontaine FC were awarded a corner. Claudio Ixidor went to the cornerflag to take it. A well done corner resulted in Marcial Abalos drilling the ball in to score 0-1 behind Matador Futbol Club's goalkeeper. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elpidio Marquez got free with Romulo Isadore in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elpidio Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Romulo Isadore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romulo Isadore was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Domingos Iago capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Domingos Iago really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. 20 minutes into the match, Matador Futbol Club's Elpidio Marquez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Romulo Isadore narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gaspar Cidro during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Lafontaine FC booed when Matador Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Cidro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Matador Futbol Club's Christian Quinten got a free kick in the 27th minute. A collision led to Lafontaine FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Marcial Abalos hit a great ball. Lafontaine FC's Romulo Isadore proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Lafontaine FC from getting a goal against them. In the 41st minute, Martin Azibar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romulo Isadore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingos Iago in the 45th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Domingos Iago to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Guido Lain was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Matador Futbol Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lafontaine FC the free kick. After 52 played minutes Matador Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Guido Lain. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Matador Futbol Club's goalkeeper Domingos Txordon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Iago in the 76th minute of play forced Lafontaine FC's goalkeeper Romulo Isadore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 79 minutes, Domingos Iago managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matador Futbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingos Iago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcial Abalos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Matador Futbol Club getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Guido Lain hit a great ball. Elpidio Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romulo Isadore having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lafontaine FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
