After a defensive mix-up in Mundus Engine's zone, Arturo Teofilio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulises Gaitan came out of the goal and Arturo Teofilio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Santo Laurin came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Mencué fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santo Laurin couldn't finish the play. Santo Laurin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Ulises Gaitan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santo Laurin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Santo Laurin came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Mencué fans jumped to their feet. Mencué's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernabe Frasco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulises Gaitan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ulises Gaitan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Arturo Teofilio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 72 minute of play. In the 75th minute Santo Laurin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Gaitan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Arturo Teofilio put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Ulises Gaitan. The referee ignored Mundus Engine's protests and gave Cristian Cucao a yellow card for diving instead. Cristian Cucao hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 94 minutes into the match, Mencué's Santo Laurin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ulises Gaitan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Mundus Engine fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mencué were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
