After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Fausto Osoro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Argentina.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Fausto Osoro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cecilio Olentzaro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jaime Lorenz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Talleres's goalkeeper Cecilio Olentzaro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fausto Osoro. Per Bjerke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matias George, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anastasio Nazario in the 33rd minute of play forced Argentina.'s goalkeeper Per Bjerke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 40 minutes into the game, when Delmiro Venerando put in a rough tackle. 39 minutes into the game, one of Talleres:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Fausto Osoro struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Cecilio Olentzaro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Argentina.. Per Bjerke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias George in the 48th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 53rdth minute of the game Jaime Lorenz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Talleres's Cecilio Olentzaro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cecilio Olentzaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Osoro in the 62nd minute of play. Jaime Lorenz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Cecilio Olentzaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cecilio Olentzaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Osoro, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 75th minute, Ramiro Enol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Per Bjerke came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Talleres's Dario Nesto. But to his dismay, Dario Nesto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 83rd match minute, Argentina. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Lorenz to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute, Fausto Osoro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cecilio Olentzaro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Cecilio Olentzaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Lorenz in the 90th minute of the match. Cecilio Olentzaro didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Argentina.'s Jaime Lorenz shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Fausto Osoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Cecilio Olentzaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
