Spectators: 7202 (Terracing: 5403, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Esteban Montrel started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Gambeta's zone, Prudencio Urtungo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edelmiro Acevedo came out of the goal and Prudencio Urtungo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edelmiro Acevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Sadurni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rene Sadurni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edelmiro Acevedo having to interfere. When Esteban Montrel came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Deportivo Gambeta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esteban Montrel couldn't finish the play. Edelmiro Acevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Sadurni in the 21st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Rene Sadurni put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Edelmiro Acevedo. Rene Sadurni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Prudencio Urtungo might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edelmiro Acevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Prudencio Urtungo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 32nd minute, Teobaldo Bartoleme ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roberto Arlt was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Rene Sadurni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Prudencio Urtungo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 45 minutes into the game, Valhalla FC's Prudencio Urtungo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edelmiro Acevedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rene Sadurni stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Gambeta's zone, Lino Demesio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edelmiro Acevedo came out of the goal and Lino Demesio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Deportivo Gambeta's Edelmiro Acevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Sadurni in the 54th minute of play. Rene Sadurni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guaberto Salbatore hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Ceferino Garin kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Prudencio Urtungo took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Edelmiro Acevedo to make any attempt to save it. If Teobaldo Bartoleme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edelmiro Acevedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rene Sadurni went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Edelmiro Acevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rene Sadurni's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. 95 minutes into the match, Deportivo Gambeta's Teobaldo Bartoleme sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roberto Arlt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Valhalla FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
