After a rather tough play, Belgrano C.A.'s Edgard Nabar got a free kick in the 18th minute. Zeledon Kelemen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Justo Mero. After some careless play in the Garupá FC defense, Hernan Eate kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Jerrald. The Garupá FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Jerrald should have stopped the shot. Benito Jerrald was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Anastasio Jago.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hernan Eate was the one to do the kick off. If Hernan Eate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eriberto Quinto got free with Justo Mero in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Justo Mero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eriberto Quinto in the 76th minute.
