With his leg Martin McNiven managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when Salmoneros's Paulino Chuan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tiburcio Balendin's late challenge caught a Salmoneros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiburcio Balendin helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, DyJ's Tiburcio Balendin got a free kick in the 6th minute. Freddy Cristos charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Freddy Cristos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 8 played minutes Salmoneros got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Cristos. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Victoriano Abascal sped through Salmoneros's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Elpidio Daunte. In the 13thth minute of the game Victoriano Abascal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Salmoneros's Elpidio Daunte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angelino Pancho during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th match minute, Salmoneros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelino Pancho to maneuver through the defense. The Salmoneros fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. DyJ were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
