The supporters of Garupá FC booed when Catuna FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Abella didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute, Gaston Panpili hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute, Pedro Urko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aurelio Abella struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Benito Jerrald didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catuna FC. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Bonifacio Cordarius put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Jerrald. If Aurelio Abella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Abella in the 28th minute of play forced Garupá FC's goalkeeper Benito Jerrald to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ovidio Urbez came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Garupá FC's Roberto Marquez. But to his dismay, Roberto Marquez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to Garupá FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Pedro Urko hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Catuna FC's Christian Kelemen broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Eriberto Quinto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ovidio Urbez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. If Eriberto Quinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 53rd minute of the match Christian Kelemen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Jerrald showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Garupá FC's goalkeeper Benito Jerrald, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eriberto Quinto scored 1-2 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ovidio Urbez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ovidio Urbez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Marquez in the 65th minute of the match. Bonifacio Cordarius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bonifacio Cordarius in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Jerrald prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 86 minutes into the game, Bartolo Francho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Catuna FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garupá FC the free kick. 88 minutes into the game, Roberto Marquez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ovidio Urbez. Roberto Marquez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Garupá FC's goalkeeper Benito Jerrald, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Garupá FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
