When Christian Kelemen fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Catuna FC's protests and gave Christian Kelemen a yellow card for diving instead. After 4 played minutes Catuna FC got a freekick which was hit by Christian Kelemen. If Paulino Chuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arnaldo Barea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Salmoneros's Rafael Urti got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Bonifacio Cordarius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute Paulino Chuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidio Urbez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rafael Urti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paulino Chuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Rafael Urti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Urbez having to interfere. Rafael Urti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bonifacio Cordarius in the 72nd minute of play forced Salmoneros's goalkeeper Elpidio Daunte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Salmoneros's Angelino Pancho got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 81st match minute, Catuna FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Abella to maneuver through the defense. Rafael Urti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Ovidio Urbez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Catuna FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Mateo Ikatz hit a great ball. Luciano Oihenarte, 88 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Paulino Chuan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Ovidio Urbez made a huge save. Rafael Urti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ovidio Urbez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Urti in the 95th minute of the match. If Paulino Chuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Catuna FC's zone, Rafael Urti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovidio Urbez came out of the goal and Rafael Urti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Salmoneros were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
