Garupá FC's Benito Jerrald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Gagriel in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th match minute, Garupá FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Iigo to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Garupá FC's Federico Iigo got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Garupá FC's zone, Enrique Gagriel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Jerrald came out of the goal and Enrique Gagriel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benito Jerrald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Gagriel in the 28th minute of play. Apolo Olo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eriberto Quinto in the 32nd minute of the match. Roberto Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Olo having to interfere. The supporters of Garupá FC booed when RACING CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimiro Herauso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 38 minutes into the game, Garupá FC's Roberto Marquez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Apolo Olo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hipolito Pelayo got free with Benito Jerrald in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Enrique Gagriel to strike the kick off in the second half. If Roberto Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zeledon Kelemen hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Godfredo Joseph made a great header on RACING CLUB's corner, it was just that Garupá FC's Benito Jerrald managed to reach the ball for a save. Enrique Gagriel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Benito Jerrald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eriberto Quinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vladimiro Herauso during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 79 played minutes RACING CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Vladimiro Herauso. With a little luck, RACING CLUB's Apolo Olo got control of the ball when Eriberto Quinto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eriberto Quinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Delmar Senon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
