The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, BackAix's Pablo Gaspard got control of the ball when Bernardino Jerano tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 18 minutes, Cirilo Evis made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Leguizamón's Gregorio Rius tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 25 minutes into the game, Rafael Aresti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leguizamón's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BackAix the free kick. After 25 played minutes Leguizamón got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Aresti. Gregorio Rius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Evis in the 30th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Leguizamón's zone, Hermengildo Azubeli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregorio Rius came out of the goal and Hermengildo Azubeli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Leguizamón booed when BackAix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Fonso didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ceferino Quico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Ceferino Quico made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Leguizamón's Gregorio Rius got control of the ball when Cirilo Evis tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardino Jerano in the 55th minute of play forced BackAix's goalkeeper Pablo Gaspard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cirilo Evis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Gregorio Rius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Amador Quiroga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leguizamón's Gregorio Rius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Leguizamón from getting a goal against them. Pablo Gaspard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardino Jerano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Cirilo Evis came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the BackAix fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cirilo Evis couldn't finish the play. If Cirilo Evis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 69 minutes of play Leguizamón's Amador Quiroga was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Amador Quiroga hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Aristides Viviano struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Gregorio Rius didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BackAix. The audience was convinced that Cirilo Evis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gregorio Rius was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Leguizamón's zone, Cirilo Evis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregorio Rius came out of the goal and Cirilo Evis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute Bernardino Jerano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Gaspard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 82 minutes, Ceferino Quico managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leguizamón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ceferino Quico was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardino Jerano in the 87th minute of play forced BackAix's goalkeeper Pablo Gaspard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, BackAix's Cirilo Evis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gregorio Rius narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cirilo Evis in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gregorio Rius prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match was over BackAix could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Leguizamón throughout the match.
