The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Prudencio Urti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Roldanillo having to interfere. Prudencio Urti took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Damian Roldanillo. Damian Roldanillo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Rigoberto Lohitzun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Palermo defense, Rodolfo Lertxun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damian Roldanillo. The Palermo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damian Roldanillo should have stopped the shot. After 28 played minutes Miramar got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Lertxun. Efrain Soin hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Miramar's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. German Diaz was slow to take the kick. During this time Palermo's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that German Diaz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Horacio Banegas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Palermo's Damian Roldanillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prudencio Urti in the 33rd minute of play. Matias Cristos charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matias Cristos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Palermo getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Matias Cristos hit a great ball. After having played for 37 minutes, Marco Gonzo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palermo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Gonzo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Rigoberto Lohitzun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Marco Gonzo came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Palermo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Gonzo couldn't finish the play. After the first half Miramar were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Prudencio Urti made the kick off in the second half. Damian Roldanillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prudencio Urti in the 59th minute of play. Damian Roldanillo made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Rodolfo Lertxun sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 76 minutes, Marco Gonzo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palermo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Gonzo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Miramar had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
