Adan Vargas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, Esther AFC's goalkeeper Maximino Rico had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santiago Florin. If Eugenio Ostots had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute of the match, Eugenio Ostots tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Maximino Rico saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Pablo Celino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esther AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pablo Celino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jose Iratzeder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th minute Eugenio Ostots shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Rico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute, Christian Serapio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eugenio Ostots to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Evaristo Rexino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Figueroa made a great header on Tilcarense FC's corner, it was just that Esther AFC's Maximino Rico managed to reach the ball for a save. Adan Vargas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jose Iratzeder having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santiago Florin in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maximino Rico saved Esther AFC from getting behind. Pablo Celino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jose Iratzeder read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Tilcarense FC's Jose Iratzeder proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Tilcarense FC from getting a goal against them. Pablo Celino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Jose Iratzeder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugenio Ostots sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maximino Rico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Ostots in the 77th minute of play. A collision led to Tilcarense FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Christian Serapio hit a great ball. Jose Iratzeder made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Pablo Celino sent off a good shot on target. 90 minutes into the match, Esther AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Ostots came free, but Maximino Rico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Esther AFC's Isidoro Delfino got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 95 minutes into the match, Santiago Florin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maximino Rico. Esther AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santiago Florin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Esther AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
