The audience was convinced that Santo Mazuste's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfredo Tanio was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Armando Enekoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Augusto Selmo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Enekoitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albino Lico hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Rodrigo Fe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Augusto Selmo came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Las Cucarachas Venenosas's Rodrigo Fe. But to his dismay, Rodrigo Fe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 32nd minute, Ivan Arias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C. A. Sione fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Armando Enekoitz might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Augusto Selmo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armando Enekoitz ran back to his position shaking his head. Augusto Selmo made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Rodrigo Fe sent off a good shot on target.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Armando Enekoitz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ivan Arias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredo Tanio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Augusto Selmo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Enekoitz in the 58th minute of play. After having played for 60 minutes, Armando Enekoitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Las Cucarachas Venenosas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Enekoitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Enekoitz in the 65th minute of play forced C. A. Sione's goalkeeper Augusto Selmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodrigo Fe struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Augusto Selmo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Las Cucarachas Venenosas. Armando Enekoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Augusto Selmo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to C. A. Sione getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Justino Naike hit a great ball. In the 76th minute Armando Enekoitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Selmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, C. A. Sione's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Fe came free, but Augusto Selmo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benedicto Cedro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Selmo having to interfere. Augusto Selmo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodrigo Fe's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. The C. A. Sione players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Las Cucarachas Venenosas from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
