After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Mauricio Alonso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rayo Futbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauricio Alonso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximino Irrintzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Atilano Naelio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rayo Futbol Club's Mateo Dubardo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Rayo Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luisito Cambranes during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Club Deportivo Moron booed when Rayo Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisito Cambranes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atilano Naelio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mateo Dubardo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Club Deportivo Moron's Atilano Naelio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Alonso in the 45th minute of play forced Club Deportivo Moron's goalkeeper Maximino Irrintzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Deportivo Moron's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Serafino Acosta 92 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-1. Astor Fertus took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mateo Dubardo. Rayo Futbol Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. There was no doubt that Club Deportivo Moron were the better team. Club Deportivo Moron's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
