Braulio Lawrence took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo Luke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evaristo Luke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Braulio Lawrence tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelino Gonsalvo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Julian Gabon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Braulio Lawrence showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Farias, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Prospero Sedeni kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Evaristo Luke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Godfredo Menendo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Braulio Lawrence tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Felipe Lehen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind San Lorenzo's goalkeeper Braulio Lawrence, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Angelino Gonsalvo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julian Gabon was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Angelino Gonsalvo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Angelino Gonsalvo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Julian Gabon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelino Gonsalvo in the 45th minute of play.

Braulio Lawrence was a little too slow when Godfredo Menendo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evaristo Luke got free with Braulio Lawrence in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 60th minute, Roman Farias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. San Lorenzo's Ovidio Ederono couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 60th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Polvaredas. In the 66th minute Roman Farias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Braulio Lawrence saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Godfredo Menendo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Braulio Lawrence tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godfredo Menendo might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Braulio Lawrence. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Godfredo Menendo ran back to his position shaking his head. 72 minutes into the game, Godfredo Menendo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Polvaredas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Lorenzo the free kick. Angelino Gonsalvo charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angelino Gonsalvo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Angelino Gonsalvo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Angelino Gonsalvo struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Julian Gabon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Lorenzo. Polvaredas's Godfredo Menendo got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 85 minutes, Evaristo Luke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Polvaredas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evaristo Luke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to San Lorenzo getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Ernesto Oxarra hit a great ball. During the 88th minute of the match Ernesto Oxarra completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ernesto Oxarra a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 89th minute, Ernesto Oxarra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Braulio Lawrence came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Polvaredas's Evaristo Luke. But to his dismay, Evaristo Luke quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Felipe Lehen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Polvaredas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than San Lorenzo throughout the match.
