Spectators: 7204 (Terracing: 5405, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 143) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Pascual Galtero got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Carbo's goalkeeper Orlando Gonza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Belo. If Jorge Belo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jorge Belo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Orlando Gonza made a huge save. Gaudencio Evis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Gonza having to interfere. Sportivo Corrientes's Fermin Basualdo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidro Galo in the 11th minute of play. Pascual Galtero received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Orlando Gonza came out and tried to block the shot, but Pascual Galtero slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute Octavio Jaen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fermin Basualdo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fermin Basualdo came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Carbo's Isidro Galo. But to his dismay, Isidro Galo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Fermin Basualdo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octavio Jaen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 played minutes Pascual Galtero rounded Carbo's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. When Isidro Galo came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Carbo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidro Galo couldn't finish the play. In the 33rdth minute of the game Octavio Jaen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sportivo Corrientes's Fermin Basualdo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Isidro Galo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Fermin Basualdo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Octavio Jaen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Isidro Galo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Octavio Jaen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Orlando Gonza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorge Belo's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Jorge Belo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Gonza having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Pascual Galtero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sportivo Corrientes's supporters rose to their feet, but Pascual Galtero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orlando Gonza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Carbo's zone, Jorge Belo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Gonza came out of the goal and Jorge Belo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isidro Galos short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Fermin Basualdo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Isidro Galo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Fermin Basualdo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Isidro Galo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorge Belo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Orlando Gonza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orlando Gonza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascual Galtero in the 85th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Carbo's zone, Pascual Galtero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Gonza came out of the goal and Pascual Galtero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Corrientes's Aristides Torres got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Fermin Basualdo came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Carbo's Isidro Galo. But to his dismay, Isidro Galo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Carbo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
