The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Esteban Selatse showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 6 minutes, Eleuterio Birjaio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Basavilbaso AFC and the Los Renguitos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th match minute, Basavilbaso AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eleuterio Birjaio to maneuver through the defense. Moises Berdaitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Moises Berdaitz took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pastor Lluciano. Pastor Lluciano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Hector Valerio's late challenge caught a Los Renguitos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hector Valerio helped the player get up and apologised. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Basavilbaso AFC! Moises Berdaitz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pastor Lluciano having to make a save. Guillermo Gonzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Pastor Lluciano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Los Renguitos's Armando Dodorol got a free kick in the 41st minute. Guillermo Gonzo hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Moises Berdaitz to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Flavio Osmundo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pastor Lluciano, 0-4. If Moises Berdaitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Flavio Osmundo came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Los Renguitos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavio Osmundo couldn't finish the play. 59 minutes into the match, Los Renguitos's goal looked a bit too open when Clodoveo Nerio came free, but Esteban Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clodoveo Nerio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Selatse having to interfere. Moises Berdaitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Pastor Lluciano made a huge save. In the 71st minute, Ramiro Aballe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Esteban Selatse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clodoveo Nerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute of the match Hector Valerio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Esteban Selatse showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Los Renguitos's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
