Anacleto Frederik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fermin Basualdo having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Godfredo Estebano in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fermin Basualdo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Sportivo Corrientes getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Leandro Peru hit a great ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Leandro Peru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sportivo Corrientes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leandro Peru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bernardino Onbera kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. If Pascual Galtero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anacleto Frederik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fermin Basualdo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Godfredo Estebano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fermin Basualdo. The goal made the score 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Godfredo Estebano made a kick off. Fermin Basualdo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godfredo Estebano in the 55th minute of play. After 56th play minutes Anacleto Frederik shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Fermin Basualdo and just under the crossbar into goal.
