Club Nacional de Futbol's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cachueta FC the free kick. In the 7th match minute, Club Nacional de Futbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elpidio Tabb to maneuver through the defense. If Victorio Inge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, Silvano Koldobika notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Club Nacional de Futbol's Bernabe Ganix. Bernabe Ganix was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 24thth minute of the game Placido Jaunti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cachueta FC's Carlos Rozarius was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lorenzo Giro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carlos Rozarius. Cachueta FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Placido Jaunti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Rozarius having to interfere. When Jeronimo Franco came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Club Nacional de Futbol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeronimo Franco couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute Elvio Paulin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernabe Ganix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Placido Jaunti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Rozarius having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cachueta FC's Alejandro Omero got a free kick in the 42nd minute. With a little luck, Club Nacional de Futbol's Bernabe Ganix got control of the ball when Silvano Koldobika tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Cachueta FC's Carlos Rozarius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Jaunti in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of Club Nacional de Futbol booed when Cachueta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorio Inge didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeronimo Franco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Rozarius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Bernabe Ganix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvano Koldobika, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Serafin Venceslas hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Jeronimo Franco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Carlos Rozarius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Club Nacional de Futbol booed when Cachueta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Gilabert didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the game, one of Cachueta FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Placido Jaunti was extremely unlucky when he, in the 81st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Silvano Koldobika might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernabe Ganix. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvano Koldobika ran back to his position shaking his head. Silvano Koldobika took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernabe Ganix. Bernabe Ganix dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Elvio Paulin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernabe Ganix having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeronimo Franco got free with Carlos Rozarius in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
