Spectators: 6649 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1649, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Everardo Primo got the match started through his kick off. Rogelio Gizon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Haroldo Cerilo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Haroldo Cerilo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erubiel Cristofol's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Rogelio Gizon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Haroldo Cerilo having to make a save. In the 13th minute, Erubiel Cristofol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Palavicini's Gualterio Firman got control of the ball when Everardo Primo tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Rogelio Gizon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 21 minutes, Rogelio Gizon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palavicini's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogelio Gizon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 27 minutes into the game, Celso Gomez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Miraflores's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palavicini the free kick. 31 minutes into the match, Palavicini's goalkeeper Gualterio Firman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iker Aureo. Miraflores's Haroldo Cerilo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Gizon in the 33rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Miraflores's zone, Erubiel Cristofol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haroldo Cerilo came out of the goal and Erubiel Cristofol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Flavio Eusko hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. When Rogelio Gizon came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Palavicini fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogelio Gizon couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rogelio Gizon made a kick off. Rogelio Gizon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haroldo Cerilo having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Miraflores's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rogelio Gizon fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 63rdth minute of the game Rogelio Gizon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Miraflores's Haroldo Cerilo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Erubiel Cristofol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Palavicini's Erubiel Cristofol got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Haroldo Cerilo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogelio Gizon in the 74th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Miraflores's zone, Erubiel Cristofol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haroldo Cerilo came out of the goal and Erubiel Cristofol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogelio Gizon in the 77th minute of play forced Miraflores's goalkeeper Haroldo Cerilo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gualterio Firman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everardo Primo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jeremias Fonso fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palavicini's protests and gave Jeremias Fonso a yellow card for diving instead. Gualterio Firman went to the wrong direction when Ramon Benvide was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Miraflores's Haroldo Cerilo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Gizon in the 89th minute of play. Haroldo Cerilo was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Rogelio Gizon capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rogelio Gizon really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. The supporters of Palavicini booed when Miraflores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amancio Cresencio didn't get a good kick on the ball.
