Diego Neto might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fidel Millano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diego Neto ran back to his position shaking his head. Eulalio Beila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Fidel Millano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fidel Millano made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Romeo Ixaka sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Changos 's zone, Diego Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fidel Millano came out of the goal and Diego Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute, Romeo Ixaka got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Diego Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Fidel Millano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Aurelio Dorio made the kick off in the second half. Romeo Ixaka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidel Millano having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Romeo Ixaka managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blackclown's supporters rose to their feet, but Romeo Ixaka was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fidel Millano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
