Donato Santiago helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to INDEPENDIENTE getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Donato Santiago hit a great ball. If Ildefonso Quintin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 38th minute, Ildefonso Quintin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mariano Piearres was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Fernan Gabrio struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Mariano Piearres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hucal AFC. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Justino Sustrai to strike the kick off in the second half. Mariano Piearres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernan Gabrio in the 51st minute of play. Hucal AFC were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after INDEPENDIENTE's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rafael Orlondon took the corner. The corner ended in Rafael Orlondon almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but INDEPENDIENTE's Mariano Piearres did a great save. Antonio Diegotxe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justino Sustrai in the 64th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Guido Ilixo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Antonio Diegotxe quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Hucal AFC's Fernan Gabrio got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ildefonso Quintin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Justino Sustrai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Justino Sustrai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Diegotxe having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Hucal AFC's Ildefonso Quintin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mariano Piearres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Ildefonso Quintin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Hucal AFC booed when INDEPENDIENTE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Fero didn't get a good kick on the ball. INDEPENDIENTE walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
