When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Justino Sustrai to make the kick off. It was Elvio Pacho who took care of the corner kick. 90 minutes into the game, Apolo Frutos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mariano Piearres. Apolo Frutos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
