In the 13th minute, Anastasio Rencio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabio Rubio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vinicio Maurino in the 14th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Justino Sustrai recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fabio Rubio. Justino Sustrai showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Fabio Rubio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vinicio Maurino in the 24th minute. In the 28th minute, Melquiades Gasteiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Apolo Ticho came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Fitarruín AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Apolo Ticho couldn't finish the play. Fabio Rubio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justino Sustrai in the 39th minute of the match. After 40 played minutes Fitarruín AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Pere. Celestino Xabat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Piearres having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Justino Sustrai made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cipriano Fero during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cipriano Fero hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After 57 played minutes, Fitarruín AFC's Hilario Lehior shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mariano Piearres came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fitarruín AFC reached it. In the 59th match minute, INDEPENDIENTE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristides Calvino to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justino Sustrai in the 64th minute of play forced Fitarruín AFC's goalkeeper Fabio Rubio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fitarruín AFC's Fabio Rubio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justino Sustrai in the 66th minute of play. Vinicio Maurino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Rubio having to interfere. 71 minutes into the game, Celestino Xabat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Mariano Piearres was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vinicio Maurino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd minute of the match, Apolo Ticho tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mariano Piearres saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Vinicio Maurino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Rubio having to interfere. 97 minutes into the game, Celestino Xabat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Mariano Piearres was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The INDEPENDIENTE supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Fitarruín AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Fitarruín AFC.
