Marciano Belmiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteve Marcones in the 12th minute of play. After 13 minutes, Saturnino Bermund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the fc pajaro and the Cobos players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cobos booed when fc pajaro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saturnino Bermund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnoldo Frans's late challenge caught a Cobos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnoldo Frans helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, fc pajaro's Arnoldo Frans got a free kick in the 15th minute. Gonzalo Klusener, 15 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After having played for 18 minutes, Esteve Marcones managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cobos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esteve Marcones was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Weather in the 25th minute of play forced Cobos's goalkeeper Ulises Ciano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the game, Alvaro Cordeal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cobos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave fc pajaro the free kick. In the 29th minute, Alvaro Cordeal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marciano Belmiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteve Marcones, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Anastasio Henry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marciano Belmiro having to interfere. Esteve Marcones struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Marciano Belmiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cobos. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When Esteve Marcones got free in front of the goal in the 65th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Marciano Belmiro was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Esteve Marcones sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
