In the 24th minute of the match, Hugo Confesor tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leonides Romelio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Romeo Hernandez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Leonides Romelio made a huge save. Leonides Romelio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Firmin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valentin Seme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Curcio having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamin Erruki during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Magdalena getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Benjamin Erruki hit a great ball. Aristides Taurino took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leonides Romelio. Magdalena's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 33 minutes, Freddy Firmin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atletico Pinocho and the Magdalena players grew even worse after the yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Freddy Firmin to make the kick off. In the 75th minute Arturo Joachim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Curcio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Magdalena's Miguel Gines slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Emiliano Curcio. That made the score 2-1 after 79 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Pinocho's zone, Federico Bidari stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emiliano Curcio came out of the goal and Federico Bidari tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valentin Seme got free with Emiliano Curcio in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 96th minute, Federico Bidari left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Magdalena fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
