Spectators: 7238 (Terracing: 5430, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aquiles Diaz started the match with the kick off. When Cleto Santio came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Zapata fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cleto Santio couldn't finish the play. Delmar Baraquiel was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gustavo Lobo. A collision led to Zapata getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Cosme Kauldi hit a great ball. In the 12th minute, Teo Lauaxeta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Guampachata's zone, Cleto Santio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Segundo Lesardo came out of the goal and Cleto Santio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Evelio Loco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 24 minutes, Aquiles Diaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guampachata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aquiles Diaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Evelio Loco came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Guampachata fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evelio Loco couldn't finish the play. Teo Lauaxeta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Urbano Haimar kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Jorge Barrionuevo kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cleto Santio in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Segundo Lesardo saved Guampachata from getting behind. If Teo Lauaxeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the game, Cleto Santio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Segundo Lesardo. Cleto Santio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Zapata's Delmar Baraquiel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquiles Diaz in the 69th minute of play. When Ramiro Orzaize fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zapata's protests and gave Ramiro Orzaize a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Guampachata booed when Zapata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Orzaize didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cleto Santio in the 73rd minute of play forced Guampachata's goalkeeper Segundo Lesardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Evelio Loco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teo Lauaxeta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Segundo Lesardo made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Guampachata's zone, Cleto Santio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Segundo Lesardo came out of the goal and Cleto Santio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 97 minutes of play, Zapata's Teo Lauaxeta made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Segundo Lesardo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Guampachata supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Zapata's performance. The match ended with a win for Zapata.
