Guampachata's Segundo Lesardo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Guampachata from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Braulio Jokin was the one to do the kick off. If Andres Fix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the game, one of Club Almagro:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 61st match minute, Club Almagro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteban Nel to maneuver through the defense. Filiberto Oriche might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Segundo Lesardo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filiberto Oriche ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Jokin in the 94th minute of play forced Guampachata's goalkeeper Segundo Lesardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
