After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Herminio Vidal managed to get in a good position for a shot. CFTC's supporters rose to their feet, but Herminio Vidal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabricio Presebal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of PSI 97 booed when CFTC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Domenec didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hernan Mattin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. PSI 97's Fabricio Presebal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernan Mattin in the 20th minute of play. After 21 played minutes PSI 97 got a freekick which was hit by Tadeo Lonzo. Herminio Vidal succeeded in the game's 22nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Fabricio Presebal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernan Mattin in the 26th minute of play. CFTC's Herminio Vidal got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Herminio Vidal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 minutes into the game, Gaspar Olivar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PSI 97's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CFTC the free kick. After 30 played minutes PSI 97 got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Olivar. Segundo Marquez hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Geronimo Nisio struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Atilano Mateo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PSI 97. After some careless play in the PSI 97 defense, Hernan Mattin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabricio Presebal. The PSI 97 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabricio Presebal should have stopped the shot. Herminio Vidal struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Fabricio Presebal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CFTC. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Eloy Bero got free with Atilano Mateo in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Geronimo Nisio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geronimo Nisio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilano Mateo having to interfere. In the 66th match minute, CFTC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesar Domenec to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 67 minutes, Eloy Bero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PSI 97's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eloy Bero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Herminio Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eloy Bero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilano Mateo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernan Mattin in the 76th minute of play forced PSI 97's goalkeeper Fabricio Presebal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hernan Mattin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geronimo Nisio in the 84th minute of play forced CFTC's goalkeeper Atilano Mateo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute, Hernan Mattin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. CFTC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
