Saladillo AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dionisio Lizardi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 25 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de La Plata's goalkeeper Zelipe Iriart had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael Feo. In the 27th minute, Oséas Vaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zelipe Iriart made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Rafael Feo sent off a good shot on target. Emanuel Padro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dionisio Lizardi in the 32nd minute of the match. Emanuel Padro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herminio Macerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Dionisio Lizardi took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emanuel Padro. Emanuel Padro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The audience was convinced that Herminio Macerio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emanuel Padro was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. In the 41st minute, Dionisio Lizardi made a precise shot to the right of Emanuel Padro. Saladillo AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Gogo Intxixu lost his temper 47 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 47 played minutes Saladillo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gogo Intxixu. When Filip Dănescu came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Estudiantes de La Plata fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filip Dănescu couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Teodosio Horado charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Emanuel Padro came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Estudiantes de La Plata's Oséas Vaz. But to his dismay, Oséas Vaz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. Rafael Feo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zelipe Iriart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Feo in the 68th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Saladillo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dionisio Lizardi came free, but Emanuel Padro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Oséas Vaz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emanuel Padro made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Pedro Haritz sent off a good shot on target. In the 77thth minute of the game Rafael Feo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Estudiantes de La Plata's Zelipe Iriart was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Dionisio Lizardi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-7. Emanuel Padro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Estudiantes de La Plata booed when Saladillo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Bingen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the game, Oséas Vaz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emanuel Padro. Oséas Vaz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-8. Emanuel Padro made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Honorato Vasco sent off a good shot on target. Emanuel Padro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorato Vasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. When the match was over Estudiantes de La Plata could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Saladillo AFC throughout the match.
