After having played for 16 minutes, Carlos Blanco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ferro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Blanco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The nice shot from Celso Seber in the 21stth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Amadeo Hug had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. In the 32nd minute Carlos Blanco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Hug saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jacobo Resto fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zaramay Futbol Club's protests and gave Jacobo Resto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd minute, Jacobo Resto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celso Seber got free with Amadeo Hug in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Blanco made a kick off. Celso Seber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st minute Carlos Blanco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Hug saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zaramay Futbol Club's Amadeo Hug played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Blanco in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the game, Christian Herena cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Urbano Arias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvio Olando in the 86th minute of play forced Ferro's goalkeeper Urbano Arias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adolfo Sabin charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adolfo Sabin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 92nd minute of the match Ferro got a corner. Zaramay Futbol Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aurelio Celipe ran over to the corner to take the kick. Aurelio Celipe made a great header on Ferro's corner, it was just that Zaramay Futbol Club's Amadeo Hug managed to reach the ball for a save. 94 minutes into the game, one of Ferro:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Zaramay Futbol Club had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
