Tiburcio Calixto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Lixandro having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Lavalle's Gaudencio Ilazki got a free kick in the 5th minute. 9 minutes into the game, Jonatan Paskal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Paulo Goyo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Donio in the 16th minute of play forced Lavalle's goalkeeper Virgilio Lixandro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Virgilio Lixandro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Donio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Alsina's Virgilio Lixandro threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Teodoro Donio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Virgilio Lixandro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Donio in the 42nd minute of play. In the 46th play minute Tiburcio Calixto came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Virgilio Lixandro. 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Natalio Dantel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Virgilio Lixandro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Donio in the 64th minute of play. Teodoro Donio scored 2-1 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Virgilio Lixandro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Lavalle's zone, Tiburcio Calixto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgilio Lixandro came out of the goal and Tiburcio Calixto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lavalle's goalkeeper Virgilio Lixandro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Virgilio Lixandro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Donio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Justino Quirze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Alsina's Natalio Dantel got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Justino Quirze's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 87thth minute, Paulo Goyo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Tiburcio Calixto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the match, Lorenzo Bizen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Virgilio Lixandro. Lavalle's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lorenzo Bizen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Justino Quirze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Paulo Goyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Alsina were the better team. Alsina's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
