The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Leandro Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ositos Gominolas Torpes's supporters rose to their feet, but Leandro Vargas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelio Rencio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Braulio Azubeli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Ositos Gominolas Torpes's Leonel Toli got control of the ball when Rolando Bordat tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rolando Bordat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Toli having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rolando Bordat got free with Leonel Toli in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 17 minutes of play, Ositos Gominolas Torpes's Leandro Vargas made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aurelio Rencio was left in no man's land by his defense there! 23 minutes into the match, Ositos Gominolas Torpes's Abel Panpili sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurelio Rencio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Leonel Toli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rolando Bordat in the 25th minute. Abel Panpili received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Aurelio Rencio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ositos Gominolas Torpes's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Rolando Bordat scored to the left of an out of position Leonel Toli, making the score, 1-1. After having played for 36 minutes, Rolando Bordat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Superestrellas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolando Bordat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Braulio Azubeli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 40 minutes, Braulio Azubeli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Superestrellas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Braulio Azubeli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Rolando Bordat notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Ositos Gominolas Torpes's Leonel Toli. Leonel Toli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aurelio Rencio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Vargas in the 48th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Braulio Azubeli made a kick off. Ositos Gominolas Torpes's Leonel Toli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolando Bordat in the 52nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Ositos Gominolas Torpes defense, Braulio Azubeli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonel Toli. The Ositos Gominolas Torpes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonel Toli should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leandro Vargas in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aurelio Rencio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abel Panpili fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Rencio having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Leandro Vargas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aurelio Rencio. That made the score 3-2 in the 63 minute of play. With a little luck, Superestrellas FC's Aurelio Rencio got control of the ball when Abel Panpili tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgardo Manny during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ositos Gominolas Torpes booed when Superestrellas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Manny didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emilio Rosario was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 73rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Ositos Gominolas Torpes's Leandro Vargas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurelio Rencio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Ositos Gominolas Torpes's Teo Bonifaco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-3. After having played for 88 minutes, Rolando Bordat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Superestrellas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolando Bordat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
