The tension between the Los Halcones and the Huanchillas AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Huanchillas AFC booed when Los Halcones was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardino Curcio didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Remigio Jacob had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Atauri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nunez Quirce in the 78th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Remigio Jacob had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isidro Gonsalvo. Los Halcones's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Remigio Jacob was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Braulio Breogan's late challenge caught a Huanchillas AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Braulio Breogan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute, Braulio Breogan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Orlando Romildo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Huanchillas AFC's goalkeeper Rafael Atauri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
