When Dario Katia fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quilquihue Fútbol Club's protests and gave Dario Katia a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Resbalito booed when Quilquihue Fútbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Katia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute, Ricardo Gartzen sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Quilquihue Fútbol Club's Armin Karja didn't even have to move. If Feliberto Grabiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faustino Abastas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Feliberto Grabiel's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Armin Karja firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Elpidio Rivas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quilquihue Fútbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Elpidio Rivas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rene Canor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teobaldo Asier during the 29th minute. Rene Canor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mario Eguntsenti charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mario Eguntsenti the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st match minute, Quilquihue Fútbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario Eguntsenti to maneuver through the defense. Quilquihue Fútbol Club's Elpidio Rivas got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Faustino Abastas made a kick off. Rene Canor made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Elpidio Rivas sent off a good shot on target. In the 58th minute, Feliberto Grabiel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Resbalito fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Armin Karja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ildefonso Tirso in the 63rd minute of play. Armin Karja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliberto Grabiel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Resbalito's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Faustino Abastas scored to the left of an out of position Rene Canor, making the score, 2-1. Rene Canor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustino Abastas in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Higinio Hodei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Feliberto Grabiel came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Resbalito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Feliberto Grabiel couldn't finish the play. If Elpidio Rivas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Elpidio Rivas might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rene Canor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elpidio Rivas ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Faustino Abastas in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rene Canor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Quilquihue Fútbol Club booed when Resbalito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Higinio Hodei didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Resbalito's zone, Faustino Abastas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rene Canor came out of the goal and Faustino Abastas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 87 minutes into the game, Faustino Abastas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Rene Canor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Elpidio Rivas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Abastas in the 96th minute of play forced Resbalito's goalkeeper Rene Canor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quilquihue Fútbol Club were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Resbalito to leave the ground with a draw.
