Sarmiento FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sixto Bixintxo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alejandro Caradaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Lekubegi having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Danilo Blai's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Prospero Lekubegi was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. The Club Atletico Talleres fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Club Atletico Talleres's Danilo Blai looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. After the first half Club Atletico Talleres were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Manuel Corderun made the kick off in the second half. Prospero Lekubegi came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atletico Talleres's Alejandro Caradaro. But to his dismay, Alejandro Caradaro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. 63 minutes into the match, Aureliano Goi notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Sarmiento FC's Prospero Lekubegi. Prospero Lekubegi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 66 minutes into the match, Vladimiro Cebo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Saverio Totakoxe. Club Atletico Talleres's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vladimiro Cebo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sarmiento FC's goalkeeper Prospero Lekubegi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Club Atletico Talleres's supporters rose to their feet, but Alejandro Caradaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Prospero Lekubegi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Sarmiento FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Club Atletico Talleres were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
