In the 4th minute, Rogelio Lorien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute, Sven-Oskar Hök left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Penca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Romeo Lluciano charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romeo Lluciano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Penca booed when Esparta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Lluciano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 20 minutes, Rogelio Lorien mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esparta and the Penca players grew even worse after the yellow card. Samuel Ellande's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aquiles Ixona read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Visti Heggit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Aquiles Ixona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Visti Heggit in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aquiles Ixona prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Esparta's Aquiles Ixona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Oskar Hök in the 28th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sven-Oskar Hök in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aquiles Ixona saved Esparta from getting behind. After 32 played minutes Penca got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Bartuelo. Penca's Leonel Navarro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Penca from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silverio Calixto in the 39th minute of play forced Esparta's goalkeeper Aquiles Ixona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45thth minute of the game Visti Heggit who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esparta's Aquiles Ixona was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sven-Oskar Hök took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aquiles Ixona. Aquiles Ixona dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santo Jorrin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aquiles Ixona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Oskar Hök in the 55th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Esparta's zone, Visti Heggit stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aquiles Ixona came out of the goal and Visti Heggit tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Esparta defense, Sven-Oskar Hök kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aquiles Ixona. The Esparta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aquiles Ixona should have stopped the shot. Penca's Visti Heggit got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sven-Oskar Hök received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Aquiles Ixona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Penca getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Silverio Calixto hit a great ball. In the 80th minute, Dante Amaya made a precise shot to the right of Leonel Navarro. Penca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Aquiles Ixona came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Penca's Visti Heggit. But to his dismay, Visti Heggit quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Samuel Ellande took a quick shot and it went in 1-7 without a chance for Aquiles Ixona to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Visti Heggit managed to get in a good position for a shot. Penca's supporters rose to their feet, but Visti Heggit was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aquiles Ixona breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pascual Pinto made in the 95th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Santo Jorrin however managed to control. Visti Heggit who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 97thth minute tested the skills of Aquiles Ixona when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Penca's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
