In the 19thth minute of the game Omar Bernard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Erwood FC's Tiburcio Vito was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emilio Rocendo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Lomas Fútbol Club's zone, Mateo Derwin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dionisio Jaen came out of the goal and Mateo Derwin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Abel Erramun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiburcio Vito came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Lomas Fútbol Club's Omar Bernard. But to his dismay, Omar Bernard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Abel Erramun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severino Heli charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Severino Heli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 44 minutes, Baldomiro Cordario mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lomas Fútbol Club and the Erwood FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 44 played minutes Lomas Fútbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Baldomiro Cordario. 50 minutes in the game, Abel Erramun fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dionisio Jaen having to interfere. After the first half Lomas Fútbol Club were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Omar Bernard to make the kick off. Mateo Derwin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionisio Jaen having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Abel Erramun left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Erwood FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Tiburcio Vito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Bernard in the 71st minute of the match. Emilio Rocendo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Omar Bernard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Tiburcio Vito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
