Ramiro Fidensio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cleto Ireno having to make a save. Candelaria's Alejo Felo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Natanael in the 10th minute of play. After 11 played minutes Candelaria got a freekick which was hit by Constantino Selmo. After 24 minutes, Constantino Selmo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Candelaria and the Caras de Nutria F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Caras de Nutria F.C. booed when Candelaria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantino Selmo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th match minute, Caras de Nutria F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Loren to maneuver through the defense. Ermegildo Osoitz charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ermegildo Osoitz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Caras de Nutria F.C. getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Ermegildo Osoitz hit a great ball. In the 35thth minute of the game Eustacio Horado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caras de Nutria F.C.'s Cleto Ireno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Luis Loren fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caras de Nutria F.C.'s protests and gave Luis Loren a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, Luis Loren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Eustacio Horado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ramiro Fidensio to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Candelaria's Ramiro Fidensio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cleto Ireno. That made the score 0-1 after 58 minutes of play. Jesus Ermengol hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Caras de Nutria F.C.'s zone, Nicanor Oliverios stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cleto Ireno came out of the goal and Nicanor Oliverios tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th match minute, Caras de Nutria F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Loren to maneuver through the defense. In the 72ndth minute of the game Ramiro Fidensio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caras de Nutria F.C.'s Cleto Ireno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Ramiro Fidensio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cleto Ireno was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. When Constantino Selmo came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Candelaria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Constantino Selmo couldn't finish the play. 79 minutes into the match, Caras de Nutria F.C.'s goalkeeper Cleto Ireno had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eustacio Horado. Ivan Natanael scored 1-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alejo Felo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ivan Natanael fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejo Felo having to interfere. Eustacio Horados short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Cleto Ireno to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Eustacio Horado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cleto Ireno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiro Fidensio in the 97th minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
