The goalkeeper, Saul Txomin, was totally fooled by Lomas Fútbol Club's Honorato Laurin, who 28 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prudencio Loreto in the 31st minute of play forced Lomas Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Dionisio Jaen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Vodka Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Bernard came free, but Saul Txomin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dionisio Jaen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prudencio Loreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Omar Bernard to make the kick off.
