Ibarlucea's Elvio Fernanco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquin Etor in the 7th minute of play. After 8 played minutes Ibarlucea got a freekick which was hit by Javier Rios. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibarlucea's goalkeeper Elvio Fernanco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 14th match minute, racing club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Txeru to maneuver through the defense. Clodoveo Lartaun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 17 played minutes racing club got a freekick which was hit by Aristides Virila. Luciano Colas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Llorian having to interfere. racing club's Joaquin Etor got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, Ibarlucea's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Txeru came free, but Elvio Fernanco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ibarlucea's Wilfredo Terciero got a free kick in the 26th minute. Elvio Fernanco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Txeru in the 27th minute of the match. If Luciano Colas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Ibarlucea getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luciano Colas made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Bernardo Txeru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elvio Fernanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, racing club's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Colas came free, but Edgard Llorian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Clodoveo Lartaun came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Ibarlucea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clodoveo Lartaun couldn't finish the play. Joaquin Etor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Elvio Fernanco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santo Vasco charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Santo Vasco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 69th minute there was a penalty for Ibarlucea. Javier Rios stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Edgard Llorian. 1-0. If Luciano Colas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Luciano Colas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgard Llorian was relentless in the 80th minute of the game.
