Edgard Llorian came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by MITRE ATLETIC CLUB's Shao Guang Si. But to his dismay, Shao Guang Si quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After having played for 35 minutes, Zé Pedro Messias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MITRE ATLETIC CLUB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Pedro Messias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Bernardo Txeru fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored racing club's protests and gave Bernardo Txeru a yellow card for diving instead. Bernardo Txeru kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The supporters of MITRE ATLETIC CLUB booed when racing club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Txeru didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Shao Guang Si was the one to do the kick off. Bernardo Txeru hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in racing club's zone, Shao Guang Si stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgard Llorian came out of the goal and Shao Guang Si tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquin Etor got free with Adam Acalinei in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 62 played minutes MITRE ATLETIC CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Eusebio Perrando. After a defensive mix-up in racing club's zone, Shao Guang Si stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgard Llorian came out of the goal and Shao Guang Si tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 69 minutes into the match, MITRE ATLETIC CLUB's Shao Guang Si sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgard Llorian narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Zé Pedro Messias made a precise shot to the right of Edgard Llorian. racing club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Edgard Llorian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shao Guang Si in the 75th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Zé Pedro Messias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgard Llorian was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Aristides Virila charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aristides Virila the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
