In the 2nd match minute, Andrade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Magdaleno to maneuver through the defense. Andrade's Siro Leoiar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Andrade from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Andrade's zone, Horacio Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Siro Leoiar came out of the goal and Horacio Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 14 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Delmar Fe. After 15 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Jerrald. Lisandro Raulo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dario Elija went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 22 minutes into the match, Andrade's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Marques came free, but Siro Leoiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dario Elija sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricardo Jerrald's late challenge caught a Andrade's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardo Jerrald helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Ricardo Jerrald got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute, Reynaldo Domenec got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lisandro Raulo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Domenec in the 32nd minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Dario Elija notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Racing Club's Lisandro Raulo. Lisandro Raulo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Angelino Guzman fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Racing Club's protests and gave Angelino Guzman a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Angelino Guzman. It was beautiful to see Andrade's Amador Magdaleno in action when he in the 44th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! After the first half Andrade were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dario Elija to strike the kick off in the second half. Siro Leoiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horacio Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Andrade were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after Racing Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lucio Ostargi took the corner. Reynaldo Domenec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Lisandro Raulo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmar Fe to maneuver through the defense. Siro Leoiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horacio Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Horacio Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siro Leoiar having to interfere. Delmar Fe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Horacio Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racing Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Horacio Marques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Siro Leoiar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nestor Poncio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
