Spectators: 7003 (Terracing: 5300, Seating: 1653, VIP seats: 50) Honorio Orzaize started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Victoriano Aztore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltasar Mino, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Atahualpa AFC's Victoriano Aztore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauricio Gorri in the 29th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Baltasar Mino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Honorio Orzaize in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dalmacio Corderro saved Playadito AFC from getting behind. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mauricio Gorri to strike the kick off in the second half. Arnoldo Grabiel hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute, Nemesio Vela sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Playadito AFC's Dalmacio Corderro didn't even have to move. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baltasar Mino got free with Victoriano Aztore in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mauricio Gorri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Aztore having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
