After 9 minutes, Serafino Erauso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atahualpa AFC and the Andrade players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 9th minute, Serafino Erauso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dario Elija fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Aztore having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Domenec couldn't finish the play. 21 minutes in the game, Ramon Palban dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Dario Elija blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Victoriano Aztore having to make a save. Reynaldo Domenec's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Victoriano Aztore firmly grabbed it by the left post. Victoriano Aztore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Elija in the 31st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Atahualpa AFC's Serafino Erauso got a free kick in the 41st minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
