After 12 played minutes Talapampa FC got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Tancredo. 13 minutes into the match, Sauce's Cristo Pirro broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Paulino Panpili managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talapampa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulino Panpili was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fausto Quinten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Sauce booed when Talapampa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. 武悦适 didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Talapampa FC's zone, Cristo Pirro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Seyit Tanbey came out of the goal and Cristo Pirro tried to chip the ball over his head. The nice shot from Santiago Balendin in the 33rdth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Seyit Tanbey had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. When Paulino Panpili fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Talapampa FC's protests and gave Paulino Panpili a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Talapampa FC's Paulino Panpili got a free kick in the 36th minute. Fausto Quinten didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abelardo Tonete went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Fausto Quinten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulino Panpili, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
