Guayquiraró FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herminio Medardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 8 minutes into the match, Julio Edorta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Prospero Cutberto. Guayquiraró FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julio Edorta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Orlando Mino managed to get in a good position for a shot. La NaLgUeRa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Mino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Prospero Cutberto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Herminio Medardo struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Rafael Urtsua didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guayquiraró FC. Orlando Mino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Prospero Cutberto having to make a save. La NaLgUeRa FC's Julio Edorta got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roman Emesto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rafael Urtsua. La NaLgUeRa FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Julio Edorta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Prospero Cutberto made a huge save. Julio Edorta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute Orlando Mino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Cutberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Edorta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Cutberto having to interfere.

After a rather tough play, Guayquiraró FC's Victoriano Tajo got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute of the match Gaston Venceslao sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Prospero Cutberto skillfully saved the ball. In the 56th minute, one of La NaLgUeRa FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for La NaLgUeRa FC. The goalkeeper, Rafael Urtsua, was totally fooled by Guayquiraró FC's Roman Emesto, who 58 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 63rd minute, Guayquiraró FC's Roman Emesto seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Roman Emesto the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Guayquiraró FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Roman Emesto had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Lino Ursino walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After having played for 73 minutes, Julio Edorta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La NaLgUeRa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julio Edorta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Prospero Cutberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Edorta in the 79th minute of play. Prospero Cutberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Mino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alonzo Seber could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Rafael Urtsua made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Mino in the 85th minute of play forced Guayquiraró FC's goalkeeper Prospero Cutberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the La NaLgUeRa FC defense, Alonzo Seber kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rafael Urtsua. The La NaLgUeRa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rafael Urtsua should have stopped the shot. Julio Edorta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 97 minutes into the game, Edgard Orlan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guayquiraró FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La NaLgUeRa FC the free kick. In the 97th match minute, Guayquiraró FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Orlan to maneuver through the defense. Lino Ursino, 98 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 100th minute Julio Edorta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Cutberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Guayquiraró FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
